What are the different types of eyebrow liftS?

There are various techniques to rejuvenate the forehead and restore the youthful position of the brows. They mainly differ on the type of incision used by the surgeon.

In a traditional forehead lift, a zigzag incision is made beyond the hair line. This method helps to remove the extra skin and provides a lasting and natural result.

• A lateral brow lift involves a one to one and a half inch incision in the hair line near the temple. This allows the surgeon to lift the brows and reduce the lateral hooding of the eyes, giving you a brighter and more youthful appearance.
• A direct brow lift is done through an incision hidden in the crease just above the brow.
• An endoscopic brow lift involves multiple small incisions to raise the forehead. In this minimally invasive technique, we use a small camera to guide us in releasing the muscles from deeper tissues.

There are also non-surgical techniques to mimic the effects of a brow lift. These include the use of dermal filler neuromodulators, such as BOTOX® and Dysport®, and newer barbed sutures, such as NovaThreads.

What is a non-surgical brow lift with BOTOX®?

A chemical brow lift or non-surgical brow lift is a non-invasive procedure which replicates some of the benefits of a surgical brow lift. It helps reduce the horizontal expression lines in the forehead and raise the brow slightly without any surgical incisions. This opens the eyes and gives the face a more youthful and brighter appearance. Younger candidates with mild signs of brow droopiness or expression lines in the forehead benefit the most from a chemical brow lift.
